David Miles and George Wellbourne Win the Schools Cup

Mini-Tennis will resume on Saturday 6th September as normal.

Junior Clubnights will resume on Tuesday 2nd September as normal until the end of October then will continue on Sunday afternoons throughout the winter. Any parent volunteers would be appreciated to help out on Junior Clubnights, please contact Phil Tucker if available.

Junior Doubles Tournament

Well done to all the juniors who kept going through the rain on Tuesday 1st July for the doubles event. Congratulations to the following winners and runners up.

Upper age group Winners Joe Davis & Alex Short Runners Up Irenne Jacobs & Matt Caves.

Lower age group Winners Dan O'Brien & Alex Wright Runners Up Ben Davis & Zak Taylor.

EVERY SATURDAY

Mini-Tennis will have 2 coaches for the 2008-9 season Tony and his assistant Phil, Tony is a fully qualified LTA coach and Phil is a fully qualified coaching assistant.

Pay on the day... Mini Tennis membership applications will be available and in the case of
members not able to attend on the day these will be mailed out.

SENIORS

The A team have won division 6, WELL DONE to Phil & Sam, Phil & John, David, Laurence and Geoff who all played this year. The B team are waiting nervously to see how results go to see if they can get promotion from division 7.

Tournament NEWS

Congratulations to Phil and Sam beating John and Patrick in the final of the mens doubles.

Club Tournament entry sheets are now up in the clubhouse for the adult end of season social tournament on 13th September.

The Mens invite tournament on 7th September is open to all. Entry is £10 per pair and entry forms will be in the clubhouse shortly. Food will be provided. CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST
